Iran’s chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said the Strait of Hormuz “will never return to the way it was before the war,” while stressing that Tehran would still fully comply with international law. The remarks came as U.S. and Iranian negotiators concluded technical-level discussions in Switzerland, with mediators saying the two sides had agreed to a communication line to reduce the risk of incidents in the strait.
