His sudden demise has sent shockwaves across the Indian film industry, with several leading actors expressing grief and paying heartfelt tributes.
Following the news of his death, prominent film personalities mourned the loss of one of Indian cinema’s most influential producers. Superstar Rajinikanth said he was in “great shock and immense sorrow,” remembering Choudary as not only a top-notch producer but also a wonderful human being who supported and nurtured countless young directors. Actor Chiranjeevi described the loss as “heartbreaking,” highlighting Choudary’s immense contribution to Indian cinema and his role in shaping the careers of many actors and filmmakers. Several other actors, including R. Sarathkumar and Venkatesh Daggubati, also paid tribute, recalling their personal and professional associations with the late producer and acknowledging his lasting impact on the industry. Choudary, through Super Good Films, produced numerous successful films across decades, including titles like Suryavamsam, Nattamai, Poove Unakkaga, and Jilla. His work played a key role in shaping mainstream South Indian cinema and launching several careers. He is survived by his four sons, including producer Suresh, who has continued the legacy of their production house.
