At the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit, the United Nations called on China to take stronger measures to help stabilise the global order. The appeal came amid rising tensions between the United States and China over tariffs, which have rattled global markets and strained diplomatic ties.

UN representatives emphasised the importance of cooperation among major economies to maintain balance in trade, security, and development. They highlighted that China, being one of the largest economies, holds significant responsibility in ensuring global stability.

The summit also saw discussions on regional security, economic cooperation, and the impact of ongoing trade disputes. Leaders from member nations stressed the need for dialogue and multilateralism to counter disruptions caused by escalating trade conflicts.
