Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital on Wednesday during his first official visit to Delhi after taking charge of office.
The meeting is understood to have focused on development priorities of Tamil Nadu, including ongoing infrastructure projects, central funding support, and faster clearance for key state proposals. Sources indicated that the Chief Minister also discussed several administrative and welfare-related matters concerning the state.
CM Vijay is expected to present a memorandum outlining Tamil Nadu’s key demands, particularly related to road connectivity, urban development, and industrial growth initiatives. The discussion also reportedly touched upon Centre–state coordination in implementing major schemes.
This meeting marks an important political engagement for the new Chief Minister, as it sets the tone for future cooperation between the state government and the Centre.
