News Desk : The investigation into the death of Pune businessman Ketan Agarwal has taken a fresh turn, with police claiming that accused Siya Goyal wanted to call off her engagement months before the fatal incident at Lohagad Fort.
According to investigators, Siya told police during questioning that she was unhappy with the engagement and had informed Ketan Agarwal that she did not wish to continue the relationship. She allegedly urged him to stop the wedding plans, but Ketan remained committed to the relationship and continued preparations for their November marriage. Police suspect that Siya's alleged relationship with co-accused Chetan Chaudhary played a key role in the deteriorating engagement.
Investigators believe she felt trapped between family expectations and her personal relationship, leading to growing tensions ahead of the wedding. Ketan's father, Vishal Agarwal, also revealed that his son had raised concerns about Siya after the engagement. According to the family, Ketan had questioned her behaviour and frequently mentioned arguments between the two over seemingly minor issues.
As investigators continue to examine digital evidence, call records and statements from the accused, the case is increasingly revealing the troubled relationship that allegedly preceded Ketan Agarwal's death.
