News Desk : A month of lavish birthday surprises, wedding preparations, and dreams of a future together ended in tragedy for Pune businessman Ketan Agarwal, 25. Police have arrested his fiancee, Siya Goyal, 20, and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary, 22, accusing them of conspiring to murder him.
Days before his death, Agarwal had organised grand birthday celebrations for Goyal, including a flower-decorated luxury convertible ride, a romantic dinner, and plans for a resort getaway. The celebrations also included a dinner outing, where Agarwal is seen going down on one knee before presenting Goyal with a gift. The couple, engaged in February, were set to marry in November, with wedding preparations already underway. After Agarwal died in a 400-foot fall at Lohagad Fort on June 18, Goyal posted an emotional tribute on Instagram, mourning the loss of her fiance.
However, the case took a dramatic turn when police, citing call records, CCTV footage and digital evidence, alleged that Goyal and Chaudhary had plotted his murder. Investigators claim the two were in a relationship and viewed Agarwal as an obstacle. Police have also alleged that an earlier attempt to kill him had failed days before the incident.
Both accused have been booked for murder and criminal conspiracy and remain in police custody. The case has sparked widespread shock, with videos of Agarwal's final romantic gestures now serving as haunting reminders of the events leading up to his death.
During the investigation Siya revealed that she was unhappy with the relationship and wanted to end it but Ketan remained committed to the relationship.
