A counter-petition has been started in the US, reportedly gaining attention in Florida, demanding the deportation of those supporting Harjinder, a truck driver who recently drew widespread sympathy online.
Harjinder’s case went viral after social media posts highlighted his struggles, with many users showing solidarity and launching petitions in his favour.
The counter-petition, however, argues that supporting him undermines law and order. Its backers claim that those siding with Harjinder are encouraging unlawful behaviour and should be deported.
The growing divide has turned the trucker’s case into a polarising issue in the US, with strong opinions on both sides about justice, accountability and community responsibility.
