Desk Correspondent , New Delhi - Tragedy struck when in the capital city of India a women was strangled to death. The 21-years-old woman was an UPSC aspirant with a bright future however her dreams were short lived as the perpetrator used a mobile charger cord to end her life. Some sources suggest the woman was also the daughter of a senior civil servant.
The woman was found dead on Wednesday morning at her residence in Delhi's Kailash Hills. The initial police investigation suggests the perpetrator may have been known to the victim, as there were no signs of forced entry. The Delhi Police have registered a formal case of murder and have deployed multiple forensic teams to scan the crime scene for DNA evidence and fingerprints. Digital footprints, including call logs and social media activity, are currently being scrutinized to reconstruct the victim’s final hours.
At the moment the cops are taking this as a high-profile case because of the victim being the daughter of IRS officer. The former domestic helper is the prime suspect for the murder but any evidence is yet to be uncovered. Along with murder, police are also suspecting sexual assault. However, officials are waiting for the autopsy report to ascertain the nature of the injuries caused.
