Ananya Lohia , Delhi - England stormed into the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 final with a commanding 40-run victory over South Africa in the semi-final at The Oval on Thursday. Captain Nat Sciver-Brunt starred on her return from injury as the hosts set up a title clash against unbeaten Australia.

After slipping to 23/3, England recovered through a record 133-run partnership between Sciver-Brunt and Heather Knight. Both batters scored half-centuries to guide England to a competitive 169/5 despite South Africa's strong start with the ball.

In response, Tazmin Brits fought a lone battle with a resilient fifty, but South Africa failed to build partnerships as wickets fell at regular intervals. Lauren Bell and Charlie Dean claimed two wickets each, while England produced a disciplined bowling and fielding display to restrict South Africa to 129/8.

With the convincing win, England advanced to the Women's T20 World Cup 2026 final, where they will face Australia at Lord's on Sunday. The hosts will be aiming to maintain their unbeaten record in Women's World Cups on home soil and lift the coveted trophy.
