Ananya Lohia , Delhi - England pulled off a thrilling four-wicket victory over India in the second T20I in Manchester, chasing down 191 with an over to spare to take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.

After being asked to bat first, India recovered from a slow start to post a competitive 190/7, with Tilak Varma playing a crucial unbeaten cameo of 24 in the final over. England looked under pressure at 133/5 in the 16th over, needing 58 runs from the last five overs.

The match turned dramatically in the 17th over when Jacob Bethell hammered 29 runs off Ravi Bishnoi, including three sixes, shifting the momentum completely in England's favour. Bishnoi finished with figures of 0/60, the third-most expensive over by an Indian bowler in a men's T20I. Despite the defeat, India captain Shreyas Iyer backed the young leg-spinner, saying he would learn from the experience while also praising Bethell's match-winning innings.

With the win, England have taken a commanding 2-0 lead in the five-match T20I series. India will now aim to keep the series alive when the two teams meet in the third T20I at Trent Bridge on Tuesday.
