The Election Commission has brushed aside allegations of double voting and vote theft, calling them baseless and misleading. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said the poll body is not rattled by such remarks and continues to focus on ensuring free and fair elections across the country.
Speaking on the matter, the CEC underlined that the electoral system has multiple layers of checks to prevent malpractice. Voter identification, monitoring at polling booths, and post polling audits are in place to maintain the credibility of the process.
He stressed that spreading unfounded claims only misguides the public and undermines trust in democratic institutions. The Commission, he added, will continue to safeguard the integrity of elections and take strict action against any attempts to disrupt the process.
