Ananya Lohia , Pune - The Ketan Agarwal murder case took a new turn on Monday as confusion emerged over who is officially representing prime accused Siya Goyal in court. The development came after Siya’s brother, Sahil Goyal, denied hiring advocate Aashutosh Srivastava, who had earlier spoken to the media as her legal counsel.

According to reports, Sahil Goyal said the family had never appointed Srivastava and was unaware of his claims. Meanwhile, advocate Vipul Dushing stated that he and his team would represent Siya Goyal in the case and present their arguments before the court as the investigation progresses.

The confusion deepened when advocate Priyanka Baradkar, identifying herself as junior counsel to Srivastava, arrived at the Lonavala Police Station ahead of the hearing but declined to comment on the matter. The legal dispute comes amid ongoing investigations into the June 18 death of Ketan Agarwal.

Police recently recreated the alleged crime scene at Lohagad Fort and claimed that Siya Goyal and co-accused Chetan Chaudhary had carefully planned the murder. Investigators allege the duo used a pre-decided signal before Agarwal was pushed off a cliff and had earlier visited the fort to identify a suitable location for the crime.
