Her statement, filled with grief and emotion, offered a glimpse into her personal loss while the United States continues to debate the broader implications of the attack.
In her remarks, she described Kirk as a devoted husband who always supported her and their family. Breaking down while speaking, she said, “He loved me, and he made sure I always knew it.” Friends and supporters of the family said her words reflected the deep bond the couple shared and the sudden void created by his death.
The 31-year-old founder of Turning Point USA was fatally shot earlier this week while attending an event at Utah Valley University. Authorities confirmed that the suspect fled the scene but was later identified using surveillance footage and forensic evidence. Investigations into the motive behind the attack are still ongoing.
