Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan has delivered a strong message on national security, stating that India’s “Operation Sindoor” is still underway and will continue with full determination.
Speaking at a defence gathering, General Chauhan emphasized that peace cannot be ensured without adequate strength. “If you want peace, you must be prepared for war,” he remarked, highlighting the importance of readiness and resilience in the face of challenges.
Operation Sindoor, launched earlier this year, has been aimed at addressing critical threats to national security and strengthening India’s defence preparedness. General Chauhan reaffirmed that the operation remains a priority and will not be scaled down until its objectives are fully achieved.
His remarks come amid ongoing regional tensions, with the military leadership underscoring India’s commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty. The statement also resonated with defence experts, who noted that his words reflect a firm stance on maintaining a balance between dialogue and deterrence.
The CDS’s address has drawn attention to India’s evolving security policies, where preparedness and strength are being viewed as central to achieving lasting peace.
