Los Angeles, August 26 – BTS member Kim Taehyung, popularly known as V, made a high-profile appearance at Dodger Stadium on Monday, throwing the ceremonial first pitch ahead of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ clash with the Cincinnati Reds.
Taehyung, who wore a Dodgers jersey with the number 7, delivered a left-handed throw to pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto. The moment was met with loud cheers from fans, many of whom were present to witness the K-pop star in action.
Before stepping onto the mound, V interacted with Dodgers players, including Shohei Ohtani and Tyler Glasnow, and posed for pictures inside the dugout. He also took part in the pre-game tradition, confidently announcing, “It’s time for Dodger baseball!” in English, further energizing the stadium.
The Dodgers went on to register a 7–0 win, a scoreline fans quickly linked with Taehyung’s choice of jersey number. His presence at the ballpark sparked a wave of reactions online, with clips and pictures from the evening trending across platforms.
The appearance comes at a time when BTS continues to stay connected with global audiences, even as individual members pursue solo projects and prepare for group reunions. Taehyung’s outing at Dodger Stadium is seen as yet another example of the band’s international influence extending beyond music into sports and culture.
