Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat has clarified that he never made any statement suggesting retirement at the age of 75, nor did he comment on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in that regard.
Speaking at an interaction, Bhagwat dismissed the claims and said such interpretations are misleading. He emphasized that RSS workers function according to the organization’s directives and not based on individual opinions.
His remarks came in response to questions surrounding speculation about a supposed retirement age within the RSS or political leadership. Bhagwat reiterated that decisions within the Sangh are guided by organizational principles and not tied to personal statements.
The clarification comes at a time when debates around leadership transitions have been drawing attention. Bhagwat’s statement aims to put an end to speculation linking his words to the Prime Minister or any age-related retirement policy.
