Union Home Minister Amit Shah has raised concerns over changing demographics in India’s border regions, claiming that the shifts are part of a deliberate design.
Speaking at a recent event, Shah said that population patterns in sensitive areas need close monitoring as they could pose long-term challenges to national security. He added that certain groups may be attempting to alter the balance in these regions, which could have serious implications.
Amit Shah emphasized that the government is committed to protecting border states and will not allow any move that threatens the country’s integrity. He assured that policies are being strengthened to maintain stability and ensure that the demographic character of these areas is preserved.
Shah also called for greater cooperation between state governments and security agencies to counter such challenges effectively. His remarks underline the Centre’s concerns about maintaining both security and cultural balance in India’s frontier regions.
