Desk Correspondent , Delhi - A Mumbai-bound Air India flight faced a major mid-air scare on Monday morning when it was forced to return to Delhi. The aircraft, a Boeing 777 carrying around 355 people, had been in the air for about an hour when the technical trouble started. During the flight, the crew noticed a sudden and worrying drop in the engine oil pressure on the right-hand side. This unexpected problem led to a tense situation for everyone on board as the pilots prepared for an emergency landing.

As the flight continued, the engine oil pressure eventually dropped to zero, forcing the pilots to shut down the engine completely. Despite the high-pressure situation, the crew managed to fly the plane back to Indira Gandhi International Airport using the remaining engine. An airline spokesperson explained the quick decision by saying, "The crew decided to return to Delhi shortly after take-off due to a technical issue as per standard operating procedure." The plane landed safely, and all passengers were able to get off without any injuries.

Following the landing, Air India worked quickly to arrange a different plane so the passengers could reach Mumbai. The airline expressed regret for the trouble caused to the travelers and provided them with food and help at the airport. They reassured the public about their safety rules by stating, "The safety and wellbeing of our passengers and crew remain our top priority." The government has now ordered a full investigation into why the engine failed to ensure such a dangerous event does not happen again.
