Desk Correspondent , Mumbai - Director Hardik Gujjar’s mythological drama Krishnavataram Part 1 The Heart (Hridhyam) is emerging as one of the biggest surprise performers at the box office. Despite minimal promotions, no superstar backing and a modest budget, the film has witnessed a massive 95.7% jump in collections on Day 2, powered almost entirely by glowing word of mouth.
Starring Siddharth Gupta, the film explores Lord Krishna’s emotional journey and his relationships with Radha, Rukmani and Satyabhama. Released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, the film opened to a slow start on Friday but quickly gained momentum after audiences praised its storytelling, emotional depth and devotional treatment. According to Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 2.25 crore net on Saturday, nearly doubling Friday’s Rs 1.15 crore collection. With this sharp upward trend, the film’s total India gross collection now stands at Rs 4.57 crore, while the India net collection has reached Rs 3.82 crore.
The Hindi version has contributed the most to the earnings with Rs 2.15 crore, while the Telugu and Tamil versions collected Rs 7 lakh and Rs 3 lakh respectively. The Hindi occupancy also showed impressive growth through the day, averaging 27.63%, with evening shows touching over 34%, reflecting strong audience interest and positive public response. Trade observers believe the film’s success is significant because it arrives at a time when many big-budget spectacles are struggling despite massive marketing campaigns.
With Sunday collections expected to rise even further, the extended opening weekend is projected to close in the Rs 5–6 crore range. The unexpected box office surge of Krishnavataram Part 1 The Heart (Hridhyam) is now being seen as proof that sincere storytelling and emotional connect can still triumph over star power and massive budgets.
