The show, which made comedian Samay Raina one of the most talked-about creators in 2025, had abruptly gone off air following a major controversy. Now, fresh hints from his close associate have reignited excitement among fans eagerly awaiting its comeback.

The buzz picked up after a video featuring Balraj Ghai began circulating on social media. In the clip, Balraj appears to suggest that Season 2 of India’s Got Latent could drop on May 9, sparking widespread speculation that the release date may have been unintentionally revealed ahead of an official announcement. This comes shortly after Samay Raina interacted with fans during an Instagram AMA session, where he hinted that planning for the new season would begin after his current break. While he did not confirm a release date, his statement added fuel to ongoing rumours about the show’s return. 

The excitement around Season 2 also comes in the backdrop of last year’s controversy involving Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani, and Apoorva Mukhija. During an episode of India’s Got Latent, Ranveer’s remarks to a contestant triggered massive backlash across the country, leading to multiple FIRs being filed against those involved. Following the uproar, Samay Raina removed all episodes of the show from YouTube. While Ranveer later issued a public apology and resumed his podcast after court permission, Apoorva also returned to content creation, revealing she had faced severe online threats during the controversy. Despite the setback, Samay has slowly made a comeback, recently returning with his comedy special Still Alive. Meanwhile, fans continue to wait for the revival of India’s Got Latent, which had built a massive following during its initial run.
