Ananya Lohia , Mumbai - Actor Randeep Hooda visited flood-hit areas of Assam to distribute relief materials, as thousands of families continue to struggle with the aftermath of devastating floods.

Working alongside an NGO in Sivasagar, Hooda distributed kitchen kits and essential supplies by boat to marooned families. Sharing a video on social media, he said many villages remain submerged even after 10 days, with residents still waiting for help as relief teams continue reaching inaccessible areas.

The floods, which began on July 19, have submerged thousands of hectares of farmland, affected lakhs of people and caused significant livestock losses. The Assam government has released the first tranche of interim relief, while relief camps and distribution centres continue to support affected families.

Appealing for support, Randeep Hooda urged people to come together to help flood-affected families as rescue and relief operations continue across Assam.
