Ranit Kr. Singh , Patna — Patna, Bihar tutor "Khan Sir" facing police arrest a few days after his coaching centre was attacked. An FIR has been filed against him at Kadamkuan police station under attempt to murder and Arms Act provisions. The controversy erupted late Tuesday night when a group of 15 to 20 individuals, allegedly linked to the rival Gyan Bindu Coaching Institute, launched a vicious, unprovoked assault on Khan Sir’s institute, Khan Global Studies (KGS), in the Musallahpur area. The aggressive mob pelted stones, vandalized the premises, and brutally assaulted a KGS security guard, leaving him with severe head injuries requiring hospitalization.
Investigators have already arrested the prime accused, Gyan Bindu director Raushan Anand, amid reports that the attack was fueled by intense professional jealousy over Khan Sir's highly successful, low-fee education model and his students' stellar performance in recent recruitment exams. The legal complications for Khan Sir intensified on Thursday after a social media video surfaced showing two KGS security guards firing warning shots into the air during the chaos. Patna Police promptly arrested the guards and seized their weapons, claiming the security personnel acted on Khan Sir's direct instructions to disperse the violent mob. Consequently, heavy police deployment has been stationed outside the institute while multiple raid teams attempt to locate Khan Sir for questioning regarding the guards' defensive actions.
Meanwhile, local authorities have issued a public appeal for calm as tensions ripple through the student community. While police continue to investigate the defensive gunfire, local supporters and residents from Khan Sir's native village emphasize his modest background and dedicated rise to prominence, viewing the incident as a targeted attempt by rival institutions to undermine his massively popular and affordable educational mission.
