Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has finally broken his silence on the controversy surrounding the Pahalgam terror attack, criticism over his film Sardaar Ji 3, and the recent India-Pakistan cricket match. Speaking at a concert in Malaysia, Diljit clarified that Sardaar Ji 3 was shot in February—well before the tragic Pahalgam attack in April—while the high-tension match occurred later.
He expressed sorrow over the April 22 attack, which claimed the lives of 26 people, mostly tourists, and reaffirmed his hope that those responsible face stringent justice. He also addressed accusations of being “anti-national,” asserting that the media had misrepresented him. He emphasized that Punjabis and Sikhs “could never go against the nation.”
As for criticism over casting Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in Sardaar Ji 3, Diljit acknowledged that many questions remain unanswered but explained that he chose to remain silent for months, urging people not to carry “poison” in their hearts. He hinted at having more to say but avoided escalating matters publicly at present
