News Desk : Homi Adajania’s Cocktail 2, starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna, witnessed a significant drop in collections on its first Monday. Despite the decline, the romantic drama has continued its strong box-office run, crossing ₹85 crore worldwide within four days of release.

According to early estimates, Cocktail 2 earned ₹6.35 crore net in India on Monday, registering a steep 64.2% fall from its Sunday collection of ₹17.75 crore. The film recorded an overall occupancy of 16%, with night shows performing slightly better than the rest of the day. The film's total India gross collection now stands at ₹64.56 crore, while its India net earnings have reached ₹53.85 crore. Globally, Cocktail 2 has amassed ₹85.78 crore, underlining its strong opening weekend performance.

Despite the expected weekday slowdown, the film has outperformed several recent releases, including Main Vaapas Aaunga, Haunted 3D: Echoes Of The Past and Obsession. Directed by Homi Adajania, the film serves as a spiritual sequel to the 2012 hit Cocktail. In her review, critic Shubhra Gupta noted that while the film carries a contemporary vibe, its underlying themes remain rooted in conservatism.

With Welcome to the Jungle starring Akshay Kumar arriving on June 26 and Alpha, featuring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, releasing on July 3, the coming weeks will determine whether Cocktail 2 can maintain its momentum at the box office.
