Desk Correspondent , Mumbai - Actor Akshaye Khanna, known for his calm and reserved personality, once shocked an entire film set after exploding in anger over the mistreatment of a junior actor. Veteran actor Amit Behl recently recalled how Akshaye “unleashed a volcano” on a producer after learning that a supporting actor had been stopped from eating lunch with the main cast and crew.
Speaking on Siddharth Kannan’s YouTube channel, Amit shared that the incident took place during the shoot of a film where a character actor, who was staying at a separate hotel, had joined the cast’s lunch buffet. However, moments after he started eating, someone from the production team allegedly approached him and told him he was not allowed to have that food. According to Amit, the actor quietly kept his plate aside after feeling humiliated. But Akshaye, who had witnessed the incident from a distance, immediately lost his cool and confronted the producer and crew members. Amit said the usually quiet actor delivered a passionate speech about hunger, dignity and respect for fellow artists. “He said a film isn’t made by the number of plates or food available, but by the blessings of people,” Amit recalled, adding that it felt like Akshaye had finally “unleashed the volcano within him.”
Meanwhile, Akshaye Khanna is currently receiving praise for his performance in Dhurandhar: The Revenge. The actor is also set to make his Telugu debut with Mahakali and will next be seen in Ikka alongside Sunny Deol, Dia Mirza and Tillotama Shome.
