Ananya Lohia , Rajasthan - A woman constable in Rajasthan's Dungarpur district has been suspended after a photograph showing her resting both feet on a desk while an elderly man waited to file a complaint went viral on social media, triggering widespread criticism.
The incident took place at Bichhiwara Police Station, where the image was reportedly captured by a person present at the station before spreading online. The photograph sparked outrage, with many questioning the police's conduct and treatment of citizens seeking assistance.
Taking swift action, Dungarpur Superintendent of Police Manish Kumar suspended constable Reena Garg and ordered departmental disciplinary proceedings against her.
Calling the incident a serious case of indiscipline, the SP said such a casual and insensitive attitude towards members of the public erodes trust in the police force and tarnishes the department's image.
