Desk Correspondent , Delhi - The investigation into the drowning of 27-year-old software engineer Yuvraj Mehta has taken a significant turn as the vehicle was finally pulled out of the 30-foot deep pit in Greater Noida's Sector 150. New satellite imagery analyzed by investigators confirms the presence of a sharp 90-degree "blind" turn leading directly into the unbarricaded excavation site. The images reveal that what appeared to be a continuous road actually ended abruptly at the pit, providing zero reaction time for the victim who was driving through dense fog on Saturday.

A pivotal witness, Moninder Singh—a local delivery agent who was the first to reach the spot—has provided a shocking account of the failed rescue. Moninder claims that when he arrived, Yuvraj was still visible on the roof of the car and was calling out for help. According to Moninder, the initial police and fire teams on the scene hesitated to enter the water, citing a lack of safety gear and the extreme cold. "They kept saying 'wait for the NDRF,' but the NDRF was an hour away. He was right there, I could see his phone's light, but they wouldn't let me go in without a proper rope," Moninder stated, alleging that the bureaucracy of "standard protocols" cost a life.
The car was eventually extricated late Tuesday evening, revealing a shattered windshield and a deployed airbag, suggesting the initial impact with the water was massive but potentially survivable. The Noida Authority has now come under fire as satellite data suggests the pit had been waterlogged and abandoned for months without any updated safety fencing. With the SIT (Special Investigation Team) now reviewing Moninder’s testimony alongside the imagery, the focus has shifted from a "road accident" to "criminal administrative negligence," as the city mourns the loss of a young professional in a completely avoidable disaster.
