Swapna Kumbar , Bengaluru - The United States has carried out its 10th straight night of strikes on Iran, while Washington vows revenge for the killing of American military personnel. Iran, meanwhile, says it has hit US targets across the region in retaliation.

CENTCOM said the latest round of strikes targeted Iranian military command centers, missile and drone launch sites, air-defence systems and maritime assets used to threaten shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The attacks were part of a sustained campaign to weaken Iran’s ability to disrupt commercial traffic in one of the world’s most important energy corridors.

The escalation follows mounting casualties on the US side, with the White House warning that Iranian attacks on American personnel will be answered “many times over.” Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, however, claims it has struck US-linked sites in Kuwait and other regional targets, presenting the conflict as widening beyond Iran’s borders.

There are also growing concerns for maritime security after reports that tankers were hit near the Strait of Hormuz. With both sides trading attacks and accusations, the fighting is now threatening shipping lanes, Gulf security and regional stability more broadly.

The 10th night of strikes shows no sign of de-escalation, as both the US and Iran continue to broaden the conflict. With casualties rising and attacks spreading across the region, the risk of a wider war is increasing.
