Trisha Krishnan beams with pride at Vijay’s swearing-in as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister

Desk Correspondent , Chennai - Tamil actor Trisha Krishnan turned heads on Sunday as she attended the swearing-in ceremony of Tamil superstar-turned-politician Vijay, who officially took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The actor appeared visibly excited while leaving her Chennai residence for the big event.

Dressed in a teal and gold saree with a cream blouse, Trisha smiled throughout her brief interaction with the media before heading to Chennai’s Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium. When reporters called it a “big day for Tamil Nadu”, she responded with a cheerful “Looking forward” before leaving with her mother, Uma Krishnan. Videos later showed Trisha warmly greeting guests, waving at attendees and interacting with Vijay’s family members, including his mother Shoba. Her appearance at the ceremony once again reignited rumours about her relationship with Vijay. Speculation around the two has intensified in recent months after they attended several public events together, including a wedding reception where they wore coordinated outfits. Reports about Vijay’s alleged separation from wife Sangeeta Sornalingam earlier this year had further fuelled gossip, though neither Vijay nor Trisha has publicly addressed the rumour.

Despite the constant speculation, Trisha had previously mocked rumours about her personal life and alleged retirement from films through a sarcastic social media post. Meanwhile, Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) secured power in Tamil Nadu after forming post-election alliances, marking a major political milestone for the actor-turned-leader.
