Ananya Lohia , Delhi - The makers of Thukra Ke Mera Pyaar on Monday unveiled the trailer of the second season and announced that the series will premiere on JioHotstar on June 19. The new season brings back Sanchita Basu and Dhawal Thakur as Shanvika Chauhan and Kuldeep Kumar.

The upcoming chapter promises a darker and more emotionally intense storyline, with politics, power struggles and unresolved emotions taking centre stage. Dhawal Thakur’s Kuldeep is shown battling guilt and obsession after a past mistake changed his life forever, while Sanchita Basu’s Shanvika returns stronger and more determined as she navigates the ruthless world of power and betrayal. Speaking about her role, Basu said Shanvika is emotionally more layered and unpredictable this season. She added that the character constantly questions the meaning of love when power and betrayal come into play. Thakur, meanwhile, said Kuldeep carries the burden of his past throughout the season and remains torn between his emotions and societal expectations.

The first season of the series, was released in 2024, revolved around the love story of a rich girl and a poor boy, which eventually turned into a tale of class conflict, ego and revenge. The second season is expected to take that conflict to a much bigger and more intense level.
