Ranit Kr. Singh , Patna - The Bihar police have arrested three individuals, including a rival coaching center director, following an incident of stone-pelting and vandalism at educator Faisal Khan’s institute in Patna on Tuesday night. The attack occurred at Khan Global Studies, located within the Kadamkuan police station limits, leaving a security guard with a severe head injury that required hospitalization at the Patna Medical College Hospital. Acting on a First Information Report filed by the center, law enforcement utilized CCTV footage and local inquiries to identify the perpetrators, leading to the swift apprehension of Roshan Anand, director of Gyan Bindu Coaching Institute, alongside two accomplices.
While the coaching center's administration alleged that gunshots were fired during the late-night assault, authorities confirmed that a review of surveillance footage showed no evidence of gunfire. City Police Superintendent (Central, Patna) stated that 15 to 20 individuals linked to Gyan Bindu were involved in the disruption, and active raids are underway to capture the remaining suspects. In response to the growing friction within the city's massive competitive exam ecosystem, Bihar Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari announced that the state government will formulate a comprehensive policy within the next three months to regulate inter-institute rivalries and safeguard public order.
Addressing the media, Faisal Khan, mostly known as "Khan Sir," stated, "Their anger is how can someone teach students at such a low cost and still deliver good results each year," while later adding, "We are not sitting here prepared for any fight or quarrel." Denying any involvement, Roshan Anand claimed, "Attempts are being made to malign me and my coaching institute." Commenting on the legal progress, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Rajesh Ranjan confirmed, "They are being sent to judicial custody; the identities of the remaining accused have also been established."
