Desk Correspondent , Haryana - The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has exposed a dark "unholy alliance" at Faridabad’s Al Falah University, linking systematic regulatory fraud to the November 2025 Red Fort blast in New Delhi. In a detailed chargesheet filed before a Delhi court, the agency revealed that three doctors directly tied to the terror attack were appointed as faculty members without any police verification or security screening. Investigators allege that the university hospital was used as a safe haven and operational base for the extremists, including Dr. Umar Nabi, who was reportedly identified as the driver of the vehicle involved in the explosion.

The probe further unmasked a "medical college on paper," where the university allegedly manipulated records to maintain its accreditation. The ED claims that "ghost doctors" were hired on document-only contracts to satisfy National Medical Commission (NMC) faculty requirements, despite these individuals never setting foot in a classroom or ward. To complete the deception, the university reportedly admitted "fake patients" during regulatory inspections to mimic a high-occupancy healthcare facility. Forensic analysis of text messages revealed that the hospital was essentially a "shell facility" with no actual staff or patients just weeks before official audits.

Financially, the ED has pegged the "proceeds of crime" at ₹493.24 crore, alleging that Chairman Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui orchestrated a massive scheme to defraud students by making false claims about NAAC and UGC recognitions. The agency also highlighted suspicious overseas connections, investigating whether Siddiqui’s children hold dual citizenship in the UK. While the NIA focuses on the "Red Fort terror conspiracy," the ED’s findings suggest a deeper rot where academic and medical institutions are subverted for both financial gain and extremist logistics.
