A Swiss tourist has shared his disappointment after facing repeated scams and unpleasant encounters during his visit to India. In a candid account, he described how several incidents left him feeling uneasy, saying that while India has incredible beauty and culture, some people’s actions overshadowed the positives.

He mentioned being overcharged by local vendors, misled by taxi drivers, and frequently targeted by touts at tourist spots. According to him, these experiences created a sense of mistrust and spoiled the essence of travel.

The remarks have sparked debate on social media, with many travellers agreeing that scams remain a challenge for tourists in India, while others argued that such incidents do not represent the entire country.
