Desk Correspondent , Mumbai - Actor Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and businessman Anand Ahuja have officially revealed the name of their second son — Rudralokh Kapoor Ahuja. The couple shared the announcement through a heartfelt Instagram post on Sunday, along with family pictures featuring their sons, Rudralokh and elder brother Vayu.
Sharing the emotional note, Sonam and Anand described the birth of their second child as a “divine blessing” and a “karmic alignment” for their family. They revealed that Rudralokh was born on the sacred occasion of Ekadashi and said his arrival felt spiritually significant under Lord Vishnu’s grace. Explaining the meaning behind the name, the couple wrote that “Rudra”, derived from the Sanskrit root rud meaning “to roar”, represents strength, healing, renewal and transformation in the Vedas.
While their firstborn Vayu symbolises breath and life force, Rudra represents power and transformation, creating what they called a “sacred continuity”. Along with the announcement, they posted warm family moments featuring both children, giving fans a glimpse into their growing family life. Sonam and Anand also reflected on becoming parents again, saying their hearts have “expanded in the most beautiful way” after Rudralokh’s arrival. They added that elder son Vayu is “overjoyed” to welcome his baby brother and that the newborn has filled their home with “happiness and grace”.
Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand Ahuja tied the knot in a traditional Sikh ceremony in Mumbai in 2018 and welcomed their first son, Vayu, in 2022. With Rudralokh’s arrival earlier this year, the couple say they are now embracing a beautiful new chapter as a family of four.
