Meena was apprehended on Thursday, April 23, 2026, after authorities linked him to the Delhi crime, only to discover a trail of violence originating in Rajasthan. A special police team has been formed in Alwar to probe the specific charges of sexual assault reported in their jurisdiction.

The investigation reveals that Meena allegedly attacked a woman in Alwar on the morning of the crime before fleeing to the national capital. Once in Delhi, he reportedly targeted a 21-year-old woman in the Kailash Hills area, where the subsequent rape and murder took place.
