Swapna Kumbar , Bengaluru - A UK inquest has found that Saudi Prince Abdullah bin Fahad bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Jalawi Al Saud died from a fatal combination of alcohol, GHB and anti-anxiety medication in a luxury London hotel. The coroner ruled the 29-year-old’s death an accident, recording a verdict of misadventure.

The hearing at Inner West London Coroner’s Court heard that toxicology tests found a blood alcohol level of 222 mg per 100 ml, well above England’s legal driving limit. Investigators also found potentially fatal levels of GHB, along with traces of cannabis, Xanax and other sedatives. Medical evidence presented to the court said the mixture of substances triggered a cardiac arrest. The coroner found no evidence of foul play or suicide, and said the prince had not shown signs of being at risk of self-harm.

The inquest has cleared up the cause of death and confirmed that the prince’s death was accidental. It also highlights the lethal danger of mixing alcohol with party drugs and prescription sedatives.L
