Desk Correspondent , Mumbai - Ranveer Singh is reportedly gearing up for one of the biggest transformations of his career as he prepares to headline a grand cinematic adaptation of The Immortals of Meluha. According to reports, the actor has acquired the rights to Amish Tripathi’s bestselling Shiva Trilogy under his production banner, Maa Kasam Film, and plans to develop it into a large-scale three-part franchise in collaboration with Birla Studios.

The ambitious project will reportedly see Ranveer portray a character inspired by Lord Shiva, marking a major shift from his recent intense action avatar in the Dhurandhar films. Published in 2010, The Immortals of Meluha follows the journey of Shiva, a Himalayan warrior who rises to become the legendary Neelkanth in the ancient kingdom of Meluha. The trilogy blends mythology, history and fantasy, and has gone on to become one of the most successful book franchises in Indian publishing history.

As per reports, the screenplay and world-building process is already underway, with the makers treating the project as a long-term cinematic universe. The first film is expected to go on floors in 2028, although the director is yet to be finalised. The trilogy will also adapt the sequels, The Secret of the Nagas and The Oath of the Vayuputras, which complete Shiva’s epic journey.
