Ananya Lohia , New Delhi - Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday led a Congress protest outside Prime Minister Narendra Modi's official residence at Lok Kalyan Marg, demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Home Minister Amit Shah over the police action during the Cockroach Janta Party's (CJP) 'Chalo Sansad' march.

Joined by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and other senior leaders, Gandhi accused the Centre of suppressing students instead of addressing concerns over alleged examination irregularities. He claimed the Opposition was denied an opportunity to raise the issue in Parliament and described the police action against protesters as "un-Indian", alleging that the country's education and examination system had failed the youth.

After addressing the media, Gandhi visited injured protesters at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital before leading the march to the Prime Minister's residence. Meanwhile, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke continued his sit-in at Jantar Mantar, while activist Sonam Wangchuk remained under medical supervision at Safdarjung Hospital as the agitation over alleged examination irregularities continued.

The Congress protest has intensified the political confrontation over the CJP agitation, with the Opposition demanding accountability as demonstrations continue in the national capital.
