Shivani Jaiswal, Chandigarh-The Punjab government has taken a significant decision regarding the NEET re-exam scheduled for June 21. The state government has announced that students appearing for the exam will be provided free travel facility in Punjab Roadways and government buses. The aim of this move is to reduce the financial burden on students and their families.

According to government officials, candidates appearing for the NEET re-exam will have to show their admit card while traveling. Upon verification, they will be allowed to travel in state transport buses without paying any fare. Since exam centers are located far away in several districts, students often face difficulties in commuting. In this context, the government’s decision is being seen as a relief measure.

Education department officials also stated that additional buses will be arranged on the day of the exam to ensure that students reach their centers on time without inconvenience. The government has issued special instructions to the transport department, emphasizing that no student should face any hardship during travel.

Student organizations and parents have welcomed the decision, saying it will benefit thousands of candidates and also help reduce exam-related stress.
