Ananya Lohia , New Delhi - A day after the Cockroach Janta Party's (CJP) march to Parliament, protesters gathered once again at Jantar Mantar on Tuesday, prompting Delhi Police to reiterate that prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) remain in force.
CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke visited injured students at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital and alleged that several protesters sustained serious injuries during Monday's police action. The outfit accused security personnel of using excessive force, while Delhi Police maintained that officers acted after protesters attempted to breach barricades and violated prohibitory orders. Police also claimed that more than 118 personnel were injured during the clashes.
Meanwhile, CJP leaders said talks with Union Minister JP Nadda failed to produce any concrete outcome, vowing to continue the protest until their demands are met. Security remained heightened around Parliament and central Delhi, while activist Sonam Wangchuk continued to receive treatment at Safdarjung Hospital, with doctors confirming that his condition remains stable.
With protesters returning to Jantar Mantar and security restrictions still in place, the standoff between the CJP and authorities shows no signs of easing.
