Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, representing Wayanad, has strongly criticized the Union government for waiving loans for large corporations while refusing to extend the same relief to victims of the 2024 Wayanad landslides.
In a social media post, she expressed shock over the disparity, stating: “The refusal to waive loans of those affected by the devastating Wayanad landslides is deeply troubling, especially when loans of powerful business houses get pardoned without hesitation.” She emphasized that the loans of those who lost lives, property, and livelihood in a natural calamity represent much more than financial transactions—they reflect the suffering of the people.
