Desk Correspondent , Mumbai - Actor-creator Prajakta Koli says she is already dreading the final day on the sets of Mismatched as the hit Netflix show prepares for its last season after nearly seven years. Prajakta Koli is in a phase where every creative instinct seems to be pulling her in a different direction — books, theatre, Marathi cinema, streaming shows and upcoming projects.
Speaking about the emotional farewell to her beloved character Dimple Ahuja, Prajakta admitted that saying goodbye to the series feels deeply personal. “I am equal parts excited and terrified of how I am going to deal with my last day on that set. I have been Dimple for almost seven years now,” she said, adding that she expects to “cry my eyes out” while hugging the cast and crew on the final day.The final season of Mismatched was officially announced at Netflix event earlier this year and will once again revolve around Dimple and Rishi, played by Rohit Saraf, as unresolved feelings bring them back into each other’s lives.

Reflecting on the show’s unexpected popularity among younger audiences, Prajakta revealed that the cast never imagined the kind of impact the series would eventually create. She compared the show’s vibe to iconic youth dramas like Dill Mill Gayye and Miley Jab Hum Tum, saying the success of Mismatched opened new creative doors for her as an actor.
Apart from streaming projects, Prajakta recently stepped into Marathi cinema with Krantijyoti Vidyalaya Marathi Madhyam, a move she described as emotionally fulfilling because of her strong connection to Marathi theatre and language. Despite juggling multiple projects, the actor shows no signs of slowing down. Her upcoming slate includes Operation Safed Sagar, Single Papa season 2 and the final season shoot of Mismatched, making this one of the busiest phases of her career so far.
