Police in Bikaner have arrested two men believed to be linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The arrests were made during a special operation carried out late on Saturday following intelligence inputs about their presence in the city.
Officials said the accused were involved in planning criminal activities and were working under the directions of the gang’s network. Weapons and mobile phones have also been seized from their possession.
According to police, the duo had been active in the region for some time and were attempting to expand the gang’s influence in Rajasthan. Investigators are now questioning them to gather more details about their links and possible plans.
The Bishnoi gang has been under the scanner of multiple state police units for its alleged involvement in extortion, arms smuggling and high-profile attacks. Security agencies are on alert to curb the spread of its activities in western Rajasthan.
