Desk Correspondent , New Delhi - Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress party on Thursday, labeling it a "parasitic" entity that survives by swallowing the votes of its allies. Speaking at a rally, the Prime Minister asserted that the recent Haryana assembly election results have sent a clear message that the public rejects the "politics of deceit and divisiveness" practiced by the opposition. The remarks coincided with the high-profile swearing-in ceremony of Nayab Singh Saini, who took oath as the Chief Minister of Haryana for a second term following the BJP’s historic third consecutive victory in the state.
The ceremony, held in Panchkula, served as a massive show of strength for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). It was attended by PM Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and several Chief Ministers from BJP-ruled states. Notably, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and other senior Congress leaders were also present in the state to support party workers, even as the Prime Minister intensified his critique of their electoral strategy. Modi emphasized that the Congress’s inability to win on its own strength has forced it to rely on regional partners, whom it eventually undermines.
The BJP's victory in Haryana has provided a significant boost to the party ahead of upcoming elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand. By retaining power despite ten years of incumbency, the saffron party has successfully countered the Congress’s narrative regarding farmer protests and wrestler agitations. The Prime Minister concluded that the "double-engine government" would continue to prioritize development and transparency, while the opposition remains mired in internal contradictions and failed alliances.
