This announcement came during a post-match press conference following Pakistan's defeat to India in the Asia Cup final. Agha stated, "As a team, we have decided to donate our match fees to the civilians and children affected by India's attack."

Earlier, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav had pledged to donate his entire match fee from the Asia Cup to the country's armed forces and the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack, which resulted in the loss of 26 lives. In retaliation, India launched Operation Sindoor against Pakistan, targeting terror camps across the border.
