Swapna Kumbar , Bengaluru - Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued strict statewide instructions ahead of Bakrid celebrations, directing authorities to ensure that animal sacrifice is not carried out in public places and that roads are not blocked during namaz prayers. Chairing a high level review meeting with senior officials, the Chief Minister emphasized maintaining law and order, communal harmony, cleanliness, and smooth public movement during the festival period.

During the preparedness review, Yogi Adityanath instructed district administrations and police authorities to ensure that Bakrid rituals are conducted only at designated locations and strictly according to legal and administrative guidelines. He directed officials to prevent public road blockades during namaz and ensure that religious activities do not inconvenience the general public. The Chief Minister also stressed the importance of proper sanitation arrangements and immediate disposal of animal waste to maintain hygiene across cities and towns during the festival. The meeting additionally covered wider governance and public administration issues, including arrangements for the upcoming Ganga Dussehra celebrations, resolution of public grievances, and action against illegal encroachments and unlawful activities across the state. Senior officials were asked to remain on alert and ensure close coordination between local administrations, municipal bodies, and police departments to avoid any disruption during the festive period.

The Uttar Pradesh government’s latest directives reflect its focus on maintaining public order and administrative preparedness during major festivals. With Bakrid and other religious events approaching, authorities are expected to increase monitoring and security measures across the state to ensure peaceful celebrations and uninterrupted civic life.
