Award-winning actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has shared insights into his unique and special bond with his daughter, Shora, revealing she is his "biggest critic". During a recent interview with The New Indian, Siddiqui expressed his deep attachment to Shora, who currently studies in Dubai.

Shora is candidly described by her father as "moohphat" (straightforward) and someone who is not "in awe" of his stardom, freely criticising him without hesitation. Nawazuddin noted that she "doesn’t care that her father is a great actor," adding, "in two minutes, she can criticise me". This directness, he explained, "keeps him grounded" and helps him with "some habits for which she scolds me". Intriguingly, Shora has not even watched many of his films.

The 15-year-old is also pursuing an acting career and impressed many earlier this year when Nawazuddin shared a video of her performing an English scene. While navigating his professional life, Siddiqui has also openly admitted that balancing his dedication to his profession and creative work with family responsibilities has consistently been a "weakness" for him, acknowledging public criticism about his absence from home. Siddiqui's next film, 'Thama', is a horror-comedy due for a Diwali 2025 release.
