In an exclusive conversation with media, actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui revealed that his upcoming film Thamma holds a special place for him because it is the first time his children, Shora and Yani, will be able to watch him on the big screen.
Nawazuddin, known for gritty and intense roles in Sacred Games, Gangs of Wasseypur, and Raman Raghav 2.0, said that most of the films he has done so far were not child-friendly. Thamma, part of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU), marks a shift toward a more accessible and family-oriented tone.
Speaking about the project, he expressed excitement about the world they have created onscreen—drawing from myth, folklore, and supernatural elements—and how it turns out to be more playful than overtly scary. He also applauded the universe’s evolution, noting how Stree, Munjya and other entries have brought together a talented ensemble of actors to the horror-comedy genre.
