Desk Correspondent , Bhopal - A road rage incident erupted when the son of BJP MLA Pritam Lodhi crashed his Mahindra Thar into a police officer's vehicle in Karera, Madhya Pradesh, on Sunday evening. The collision occurred near a local market, damaging the cop's car and sparking a heated confrontation. No serious injuries were reported, but the MLA's son allegedly refused to cooperate initially, leading to a police complaint.
The crash has drawn sharp criticism amid rising concerns over VIP culture and impunity for politicians' families. Local police registered an FIR against the MLA's son under relevant sections for rash driving and causing damage to public property. Eyewitnesses described the Thar speeding recklessly before slamming into the stationary police vehicle parked for routine duty. Authorities impounded the SUV and began investigations, with tensions escalating when MLA Lodhi arrived at the scene.
In a viral video, Lodhi dared the Karera SHO, saying, "If your daddy has guts, come to my area," while defending his son and threatening action against the officer. "My son did nothing wrong, this is an abuse of power," Lodhi added, vowing to pursue the matter politically. Police have yet to respond officially to the MLA's remarks.
