Ananya Lohia , Delhi - The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued severe weather warnings across 18 states, exposing the vast fractures in India's climate resilience. As relentless monsoon rains continue to batter the country, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Gujarat and Delhi remain among the worst-hit, grappling with floods, landslides and widespread disruption.

The relentless monsoon has thrown life out of gear across 18 states in India. Flash floods, overflowing rivers and landslides have submerged roads, damaged homes and disrupted transport, while thousands of people continue to face the brunt of the severe weather. Rescue teams have been deployed in several flood-hit areas as authorities race to evacuate stranded residents and restore essential services.

With the India Meteorological Department predicting more heavy rainfall, officials have urged people in vulnerable regions to remain indoors and follow safety advisories. Farmers have been urged to move harvested crops to safe storage, maintain proper drainage in agricultural fields and avoid irrigation, fertiliser application and pesticide spraying until conditions improve.

With heavy rainfall expected to continue, authorities remain on high alert as rescue operations intensify and residents in vulnerable areas are urged to stay cautious and follow official advisories.
